Synopsis

In the early republican period, Lu Yaqin, living with her aunt, worked in embroidery shop of Tong family in a certain city in the south. She and Tong Shaowei, the childe of Tong Family, fell in love by accident. At the beginning of the relationship, she was involved into the stream of fate, being forced to be barmaid in a porn restaurant.  
When Tong Shaowei planned to redeem Lu Yaqin back, his mother forced him to marry Li Nianzhen, a girl from respectable family coming back from southeast Asia. Li Nianzhen wanted to break off all the relations between Lu Yaqin and Tong Shaowei, so she secretly bought Lu Yaqin’s freedom and sent her to the dude of Huang family’s embroidery shop. In this way, Li Nianzhen married Tong Shaowei successfully. However, Tong Shaowei and Lu Yaqin came together in a resolute way after a series of tests of fate, which made Tong Shaowei’s mother reluctantly allow Lu Yaqin get into Tong family. 
Li Nianzhen was deeply pressed by Lu Yaqin’s coming and analyzed her to struggle, but it was never a threat for the kind-hearted woman. Lu Yaqin grew up gradually from the isolation and won people’s heat around her. Finally she became the backbone of Tong family and the business of embroidery shop developed strongly in her hand. Furthermore, her embroidery became a mystery of the city. On the other hand, Li Nian felt so depressed that she did something insane, which made her get a closed book and left Tong family.     
Yang Kaitai, the majordomo of Tong family, began to surface. He made every effort to defeat Tong family because he held that Tong was to blame for his father’s death. Meanwhile, he was obsessed with Li Nianzhen. He took full use of his identity and the current political situation to run Tong’s shop furtively, which destroyed Tong family step by step. What’s worse, their dark love attachment also accelerated the decline of Tong family. 
Lu Yaqin and Tong Shaowei who had nothing began a fightback when they knew the truth. During the process, Lu Yaqin grew up as a national entrepreneur form the female embroider. What’s more, she took part in China diplomatic affair about  resistance against Japanese aggression.
