Synopsis

During the period of Emperor Yongzheng, the situation was volatile in Fujian-Guangdong areas. Skyhawk Faction amassed a huge bulk of money and gathered Wulin personalities, which was a serious trouble for Royal court. South Shaolin Temple was also included in it. Emperor Yongzhong decided to send his two sons whom he was most proud of - Hongshi and Hongli, the third and the fourth prince. They hurried to South Shaolin Temple in two columns to investigate the Skyhawk - a civil official and a military officer in the light and in the dark respectively. Emperor aimed to find out who would be suitable for the next emperor in charge of the whole country. And the two clever princes knew the intention of their father. In order to make Yongzheng satisfied, they tried their best to investigate and deal with the Skyhawk and South Shaolin Temple, which impressed Yongzheng by their self-expressions respectively. In the process, ruthless Hongshi attempted to kill Hongli in the way that he laid murderous hand on Hongli to remove the obstacle on the road to be emperor. Fang Shiyu, a chivalrous laity of South Shaolin Temple helped Hongli get rid of disaster and persecution one by one. Finally, they became good friends.
